Winter is here, but we are still very busy!
The Men's Shed Organisation was started in Australia in the 90's. It is now one of the fastest growing movements in the UK. There are now over 300 Sheds in the UK. It has been proven to improve both the physical and mental health of those that attend. Although it is called the Men's shed, we welcome anyone. Please visit the Scottish Mem's Shed Association at http://scottishmsa.org.uk/
for more information, and to find a shed in your area.
We are very fortunate to have been given the use of two amazing log buildings in the Milton Community Woodland. We are working with the Milton Community Woodland Trust to bring these buildings back into full use by local communities in the Cromarty Firth area. The cabins are set in a natural clearing called the Bonny Green, in 12 hectares of woodland, with a river running through it. It is very poular with walkers, and dog owners, who traverse the circular track.
We have been given the use of these buildings in return for restoring and upgrading them.Quite a lot of work needs to be done to these building to bring them up to scratch. If you can help, either in person or by donation of materials or finance, please contact us.
